This Reflections piece has been created on canvas, street art walls, silk screen prints, NFTs and now these foil editions. Inspired by all of the previous variations of this piece, I have created 13 different pieces in the lenses like the NFT collection, in 4 different shiny foil colours that play on popular colours from previous works with red, pink, gold and rainbow.
Keith Haring was a pioneer of the street art culture alongside other graffiti artists in New York in the 80's. He created a visual language that transcended the graffiti subculture and became a hybrid of pop art and contemporary art. The street art influence and his unbounded energy to paint on any surface he could get access to, whether it was subway walls, canvas, paper, people or his iconic pop shop in New York, inspired people all over the world to go out and create art. His punk rock mindset and do it yourself attitude have inspired me massively and I have tried to honour his inspiration in this piece.
